Messenger Functionality
ICBC Messenger refers to the SMS and email notification service provided by our bank to our customers comprising of financial and account information. ICBC Messenger notifications includes: change of account balance notification and stock trading notification.
Change of account balance notification – Mainly for debit card (main account) and credit card;
Stock trading notification – receives notification involving any stock trading activities.
Conditions for application
1.Holder of any ICBC Macau “Bank Card” or customers of “Securities Account”.
2.Bank card: includes ATM Card (e-Age Card and Gold Card), Debit Card and Credit Card. ATM cards are only limited to those for main accounts for HKD, MOP and RMB.
3.Stock trading channels include trading at our branch securities centers, stock trading hotline, online trading and mobile securities trading etc.
4.Change of account balance SMS notification is only limited to the accounts under the name of the applicant.
5.Two types of notifications: SMS and email.
6.Customers can only register one valid phone number or email address to receive relevant notifications.
7.Only local phone numbers can be activated for ICBC Messenger service. Other non-local phone numbers are not accepted for the time being.
8.All eligible customers of ICBC Macau interested in applying for the ICBC Messenger service can apply at any of our branches. Customers are required to fill-in the “ICBC Messenger Service Application Form”(Activate/Change/Cancel).
9.Service fees: No service fees during the trial period.
10.Change of account balance notification is available in Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese and English.
Stock trading notification is available in Chinese and English.
Scope of Notification
Change of account balance notification
1.All debit transactions of MOP 500 or above (no notification for credit transactions)
2.All debit transactions include bank counter transactions, spending, online transfers/spending, ATM, batch 2.transfers (such as auto-pay, debit interest, debit loan repayment might take place at midnight) would be notified through ICBC Messenger service.
Securities Business
Stock trading notification covers transactions such as: complete trades, partial trades, change of trade details, cancellation of trades, pending trades before market close.
Customer notice
1.Customers must ensure the accuracy of their registered mobile number. Any changes of your mobile number should be amended at our branch counter.
2.For messages that are not detailed or inaccurate due to insufficient information collected when the message is being sent or compromised during the transmission process due to force majeure reasons, our bank does not assume any responsibility.
3.If the customer is located outside of Macau and has not turn on the roaming function of the mobile phone, there is a possibility of not receiving notifications due to network problems.
